A Summer Internship with Purpose Our 11-week, paid summer internship program provides you with opportunities for learning and personal development, networking, and engagement with our leadership teams. Based in San Francisco, New York City, or Toronto (but operating virtually until it is safe to be back in our offices), youll feel accepted from day 1, included, and a part of our community. Youll gain hands-on experience and exposure within your discipline and team while making real contributions, receiving mentorship, and learning from constructive feedback. Whether it's wrangling big data or writing code for our app, your work contributes to our companys overall success, impacting the lives of millions. My Impact as a WW Mobile Engineering Intern- Write clean, testable code using one of our open-source architectures ( , )
- Build prototypes, solve problems, and deliver features that improve the lives of millions of our members
- Learn from our talented team of software engineers and share your knowledge to make us better
- Participate in daily stand-ups and other agile ceremonies
- Attend sprint planning meetings and provide estimates for features and tasks
- Develop code on feature branches, push to GitHub, and open pull requests
- Write unit tests that meet WWs test coverage requirements
- Provide and receive feedback on the solutions you and your team develops
- Track, update and resolve tickets you work on in Jira
- Passion for learning about the latest tools and technologies
- Desire to seek out challenges and learn from other engineers
- Critical eye for identifying and solving issues
- A collaborative approach to sharing your ideas and feedback with the team
- Demonstrated experience with iOS/Swift or Android/Kotlin
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelors or Masters program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or another technical discipline with a GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Graduation date between December 2021 and May 2022
