Our growing business develops unique installations and products for a diverse clientele in public, commercial, residential, and exhibition spaces.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a talented, energetic, and motivated fabricator to become a part of our team. This full-time, permanent position is centered around custom fabrication projects at our workshop in Brooklyn. The perfect candidate will be well-organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in working closely with project managers to ensure alignment on schedules and deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:
Work on fabrication and millwork projects, ensuring timely and high-quality execution.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
Utilize a wide range of hand tools [saws, mills, lathes], power tools, specialized tools and woodworking machinery with precision.
Perform complex carpentry, joinery, and assembly tasks.
Ensure quality control throughout the fabrication process.
Manage materials and workflow efficiently for assigned projects.
Work both independently on tasks and collaborate with the production team.
Adhere to all OSHA and company-wide safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Support team members as needed.
Required Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Fabricator, Millworker, or high-level Carpenter.
Demonstrated proficiency in finish carpentry and millwork techniques.
Expertise with a wide variety of hand tools, power tools, and woodworking equipment.
Ability to read and accurately interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Proven self-starter with the ability to manage tasks and time effectively with minimal supervision.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills; ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Demonstrated leadership aptitude or prior experience in a lead role.
Commitment to safety standards.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in architectural or custom fabrication projects.
Advanced knowledge of various types of wood and woodworking techniques.
Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus but not required.
