We are a custom door fabrication and installation company seeking an experienced multi-skilled subcontractor to help us close out projects.
We’re looking for a part-time multi-skilled carpenter to perform door installation and associated close-out tasks to complete the installation.
Must be comfortable handling doors up to 120" in height.
Additional tasks might include:
Installing stone thresholds underneath new doors to eliminate gaps and ensure the threshold touches the brush.
Installing weatherstripping.
Performing paint or stain touch-ups.
Installing door casings
Minor drywall work.
Requirements:
Proven experience in finish carpentry, stone threshold installation, and general carpentry tasks.
Experience in high-end residential and townhouse renovations in NYC.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
Must be considerate of historical structures.
Possession of a full complement of tools, including specialty tools.
Reliable transportation.
Strong communication skills/ability to converse in English
