Food company seeking an in-house Working Supervisor, responsible for build out, repairs and maintenance of multiple restaurants, cafes and markets. This includes experience or skill in the construction or renovation of buildings both commercial and residential. Carpentry skills are a plus. Ideal candidate must have experience managing a team.
Critical Skills and Requirements Include:
Installing wooden structures such as roofing frames, rafters, partitions, joists and stud work
Designing and installing cabinets, shelving, fitted furniture, drywall and insulation
Adding fixtures and fittings such as door handles, locks, hinges and closures
Knowledge of stripping, spackling and painting
Fabricates and/or repairs furnishings such as shelving, bookcases, work tables and counters.
Operates a variety of specialized equipment including saws, drills, presses and various hand and power tools; drives a vehicle to conduct work.
Maintains shop and work areas in a safe, clean and orderly condition.
Early morning, night, weekend, and emergency work will be required.
Must speak and understand the Spanish language.
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Carpenter or similar role
- Proficient in construction painting, maintenance person tasks, blueprint reading, and schematics interpretation
- Knowledge of restoration techniques including mold remediation and water damage restoration
- Familiarity with metal stud framing and concrete forming
- Ability to safely operate power tools and other carpentry equipment
