Our project are mainly in Manhattan and Brooklyn.
Core Responsibilities:
Interpret technical drawings and execute plans with exactness.
Measure, cut, and shape wood materials according to specifications and Craft high-quality custom cabinetry with
precision and efficiency.
Assemble cabinets and furniture using various tools and equipment
Install hardware such as hinges, knobs, and handles
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Follow safety guidelines and protocols
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you should have the following skills and qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Cabinet Maker or similar role in the restoration industry or related field
- Strong knowledge of different types of wood materials and their properties
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
- Excellent attention to detail and precision in measurements
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in cabinet making.
- Proficiency in using a variety of woodworking tools and machinery such as sliding tabel saw
- 40-hour OSHA Construction Safety and Health Training certification.
- A track record of accountability and adherence to safety protocols.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
The physical requirements for a cabinet maker typically include:
Manual Dexterity: Ability to use hand tools, operate woodworking machines, and assemble detailed components with
precision.
Strength and Stamina: Capability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy materials and equipment. Must be able to stand,
crouch, and work in various positions for extended periods.
Hand-Eye Coordination: Proficiency in handling tools and materials accurately to avoid waste and ensure safety.
Vision: Good eyesight for detailed work, including close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to
adjust focus.
Flexibility: Able to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms, and/or legs.
Endurance: Capacity to undertake tasks requiring extended periods of physical activity.
