Job Title: IT Manager
Reports to: CFO
Salary 150-175K, full time onsite.
Job Summary:
The IT Manager provides leadership and strategic direction for the bank’s IT infrastructure.
Manages the implementation and support of both centralized and distributed enterprise information systems to ensure effective, secure, and cost-efficient operations.
Facilitates communication between staff, management, vendors, and technology resources within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Planning & Leadership:
o Leads the planning and execution of IT strategies aligned with the bank’s business goals.
o Evaluates, recommends, and implements new information systems that can improve efficiency and operations.
o Coordinates with other departments to ensure IT systems support overall organizational needs.
2. System Management & Operations:
o Oversees the bank’s local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN), ensuring smooth operation.
o Manages the bank’s voice, data, imaging, and office automation systems, ensuring proper maintenance and upgrades.
o Designs and supervises user support systems, training programs, and facilitates productive use of IT hardware and software.
o Ensures system security, data backup, and recovery processes are in place and regularly evaluated for effectiveness.
3. Budget & Contract Management:
o Approves and oversees the acquisition of all IT hardware and software, ensuring they meet organizational needs.
o Develops IT policies that maximize operational effectiveness while minimizing costs.
o Manages vendor relationships, ensuring favorable contract terms, evaluating alternatives, and conducting cost-benefit analyses for IT investments.
4. Policy Development & Compliance:
o Develops and enforces IT policies and procedures that protect the bank’s IT assets and ensure the integrity and security of information.
o Ensures that IT operations comply with banking regulations and legal requirements.
o Manages the integration of external technology systems, including electronic data exchanges, with the bank’s internal IT resources.
5. System Administration & Reporting:
o Oversees the architecture of IT systems, setting standards for data exchange, communication protocols, and systems interconnection.
o Ensures timely, accurate, and cost-effective gathering, processing, and distribution of information needed for management decisions.
o Facilitates the correction of system failures and acts as the main contact for resolving technical issues.
6. Staff Supervision & Development:
o Selects, trains, supervises, and evaluates Network Administrators.
o Ensures coverage of IT duties during staff absences, ensuring business continuity.
o Provides IT training for new users and offers advanced training for existing users as needed.
Qualifications:
1. Experience:
o Minimum of 5 years of increasing responsibility in IT management, especially in the banking sector including good knowledge of Jack Henry CIF2020 Banking software, Banno and other ancillary functions.
o Direct experience managing major IT operations, including network and system infrastructure.
o Familiarity with shared and outsourced IT solutions and support for in-house information systems.
o Knowledge of and familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks, policies, and best practices; monitored threats, managed vulnerabilities, and conducted regular risk assessments using tools such as the Cybersecurity Risk Index (CRI) to ensure system and data security.
2. Technical Skills:
o Proficiency with desktop, notebook, handheld, and server computer hardware.
o Experience in local and wide area network (LAN/WAN) design, implementation, and operation.
o Knowledge of operating systems like Windows, VMware, Unix, Linux, and AS/400.
o Familiarity with office productivity software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, databases, project management, and communication tools).
3. General & Leadership Skills:
o Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a capacity to resolve complex technical and interpersonal issues.
o Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical staff.
o Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage teams and projects in a banking environment.
o Ability to prioritize tasks, set goals, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
4. Business Knowledge:
o Understanding of business administration principles, banking regulations, and strategic and operational planning.
o Familiarity with business process analysis, financial management, and cost analysis.
o Ability to translate technical language into business terms and apply complex technologies to business strategies.

Strong negotiation skills, particularly with vendors and contractors.
