We are seeking a talented and ambitious Junior Hairdresser to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a passion for natural hair styling locs, braiding and a desire to learn and grow in the beauty industry. As a Junior Hairdresser, you will assist senior stylists in providing services to clients. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work station, greeting clients, and assisting with salon operations.
Responsibilities:
- Assist senior stylists in providing hair cutting, coloring, and styling services
- Shampoo, condition, and blow-dry clients' hair
- Maintain a clean and organized work station
- Greet clients and provide excellent customer service
- Assist with salon operations, such as scheduling appointments and processing payments
- Stay up-to-date on the latest hair trends and techniques
- Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Cosmetology license or currently enrolled in a cosmetology program preferred
- Strong passion for hair styling and beauty industry
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and strong work ethic
- Willingness to learn and take direction from senior stylists
- Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
