Le French Wine Shop by Vin Sur Vingt is the newest wine store located in the Upper West Side, Lincoln Center area. This is the premier wine store from the team behind Vin Sur Vingt Wine Bars in New York offering a wine selection only with French wines. Our main goal is to make wines of France accessible and less intimidating to the public.
Job description
We are looking for both a full and part-time sales associate who shares a passion for the French culture, who has some knowledge or concepts of French wines and who had at least one prior experience working in wine retail sales in New York.
Qualifications and responsibilities
Provide a strong customer service and a unique experience to our clients, with a good understanding of French wine regions.
Understand and read customers’ needs and be able to make relevant recommendations based on our unique selection.
Build rapport and trust with our customers to increase sales and encourage repetitive business.
Ring-up sales, encourage sign-ups email for our newsletter, and inform customers about our tasting events and promotions.
Assist in special events and in-store tastings.
Assist in setting up merchandise displays on the sales floor.
Help organizing/receiving inventory time to time.
Be able to lift 50lbs and assist time to time with local deliveries.
