RABA is contemporary footwear that honors the beauty and creativity of Africa by using woven textiles from across the continent. This meticulous care and passion for craftsmanship extends to the overall design and function of each pair of shoes and everything that we do as a company.
In preparation for the new collection launch in September, RABA is hiring a part-time intern to assist with the management of project plans related to the launch. The internship is 3 days a week for a total of 10 hours a week, with a minimum of 2 days in person. Must have the ability to run errands in the 5 boroughs of NYC and lift 40 lbs. This person will report to and work directly with the founder of RABA shoes.
Salary: $15-20 per hour depending on experience. No benefits or overtime.
Role Description:
- Actively monitor project status, proactively communicate and address any challenges
- Maintain project plans and communicate any changes as they arise
- Work with external vendors in person and via email.
- Schedule meetings with internal teams and external vendors.
- Manage inventory delivery and assist with fulfillment
- Help with product photo shoots
Required Qualifications:
- Resourceful self-starter and solution-seeker who demonstrates a high level of initiative and intellectual curiosity
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail who can be relied upon to meet deadlines
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Google suite (calendly and canva preferred but not required).
