Location: Roslyn Wine and Liquor, Long Island, NY
Roslyn Wine and Liquor is Long Island's premier destination for hand-selected fine wines and liquor. We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Liquor Store Clerk to join our team. This position is for Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10AM-10PM. Do not apply if these hours do not work for you. Position pays $18/HR
Job Responsibilities:
-Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to customers, including answering questions about products, making recommendations, and assisting with purchases.
-Sales Transactions: Operate the cash register and handle transactions efficiently and accurately.
-Stock Management: Assist in receiving, unpacking, and stocking shelves with products. Ensure products are displayed neatly and are easy to find.
-Inventory Control: Help with inventory counts and maintain accurate records of stock levels. Inform management of any inventory shortages.
-Store Maintenance: Keep the store clean and organized, including sweeping floors, dusting shelves, and ensuring displays are visually appealing.
-Product Knowledge: Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of our product offerings, including wines, spirits, and other liquors.
-Compliance: Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including age verification for alcohol purchases, and comply with all state and local laws.
-Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure smooth store operations and a positive customer experience.
Qualifications:
-Previous retail or customer service experience, preferably in a liquor store or related field.
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
-Must be at least 21 years of age.
