Procurement/Inventory Manager

Position Summary

The Procurement/Inventory Manager plays a critical role in ensuring that the maintenance and porters have the supplies and equipment needed to properly maintain VPH Management Services' affordable housing properties. This position is responsible for ensuring that the operations team has the needed supplies, equipment and parts to ensure the properties managed by VPH Management Services are kept up to applicable standards. The position will maintain the inventory control processes and ensure accurate stock levels for the properties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Procurement/ Inventory Manager will conduct all business in accordance with company policies and procedures, and state and federal laws (OSHA, ADA and Fair Housing). Essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

1. Find, order, and stock supplies, parts and equipment.

2. Manage deliveries and warranty issues.

3. Key management – issuing, key return, cut keys.

4. Communicate with vendor reps, property managers and other stakeholders as needed

5. Communicate with maintenance technicians and Superintendents for ordering specialist parts needed for jobs.

6. May pickup orders from supply companies and home improvement stores.

7. Implement efficient inventory management system and ensure inventory accuracy.

8. Coordinate inventory counts.

9. Manage inventory records.

10. Manage company accounts with vendors.

11. Contribute to a positive team environment.

12. Additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

· High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.

· Minimum of 2 years of experience in inventory management; property management, maintenance, or related field, helpful

· Understanding of affordable housing and property maintenance procedures.

· Strong analytical skills.

· Attention to detail.

· Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with others

· Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and property management software.

· Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.

· Willing to learn and be flexible.

· Able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
