We are looking for a top quality superintendent for our New York Factory and Showroom. If you have solid experience in general building maintenance and construction, drop us a line.
The Superintendent will be responsible for the maintenance of the buildings and grounds as well as overseeing the upkeep of equipment. They will determine and schedule repairs, renovation, and maintenance projects and coordinate safety inspections. Most work will be done hands-on, with additional projects done in coordination with outside vendors.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in building maintenance with proficiency with building repair tools and techniques,
including basic plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry, and other mechanical systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to speak with all levels of employees, guests,
vendors and team members.
- Great time management, organization, and prioritization abilities.
Your Duties Will Encompass:
- Daily inspections to ensure facility cleanliness, safety, and function.
- Maintenance, repairs, cleaning, and upgrades of building systems (plumbing, lighting, hardware, structural, etc.)
- Creating and managing the schedule of cleaning and maintenance projects for the facilities.
- Scheduling routine inspections and emergency repairs with outside vendors (elevator, rolling gates, HVAC, etc.)
- Creating reports on maintenance, repairs, safety and other occurrences for supervisors and other relevant staff.
- Preparing facilities for changing weather conditions.
- Collaborating with building owners and upper management on budgeting for facilities’ needs.
