Brooklyn-based fashion jewelry brand currently looking for interns to assist in all areas of jewelry production while further developing their metalsmithing skills. Interns will have the ability to experience all facets of running a jewelry line from design and development to marketing and branding. Candidates will be working directly with the designers with one-on-one training and experience. All jewelry from the collection is designed, produced, and marketed in-house.
We create a supportive environment and aim for our interns to learn as much as possible throughout the program. There are opportunities for interns to explore and learn in all areas of the business, including but not limited to: production, marketing, and operations.
Internship is 2-3 days per week from 10:30- 5pm (days and hours are flexible based on candidates' schedule.)
We ask for a minimum of a 3-month commitment for you to learn the full scope of the business in a complete season cycle.
Requirements:
-Candidate must be passionate about jewelry/accessories design and working in a small business environment
-Self-motivated and eager to learn
-Acute attention to detail
-You must take personal initiative and be confident in your endeavors
-Maintain a strong work ethic and willingness to take on any task large or small
Responsibilities:
-Jewelry production prep, including sorting, sawing, and preparing raw materials
-Occasionally organizing materials and inventory
-Learning light silver soldering and assembly
-Learning Pulse Arc Welding
-Assisting in Website Order fulfillment
-Occasional assistance running errands between Manhattan vendors, suppliers, and manufacturers.
-Miscellaneous tasks
