Position Overview:
We are looking for a talented and experienced Tailor and Dressmaker who is passionate about fashion and skilled in the art of garment construction. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating custom-made garments, alterations, and repairs to ensure a perfect fit and impeccable finish. From bridal gowns to formal attire, our Tailor and Dressmaker will play a vital role in bringing our clients' visions to life.
Responsibilities:
Take accurate measurements and consult with clients to understand their preferences and requirements
Create custom patterns and designs based on client specifications
Cut, sew, and assemble garments using various fabrics and materials
Perform fittings and make necessary adjustments to achieve the desired fit and silhouette
Complete alterations and repairs on existing garments with precision and attention to detail
Collaborate with designers and other team members to ensure the timely completion of projects
Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the proper care and maintenance of equipment and tools.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Tailor and Dressmaker, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work
Proficiency in garment construction techniques, pattern making, and sewing
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and team members
Knowledge of different fabrics, textiles, and garment construction methods
Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
