Position Overview:
GPT Renewables is seeking experienced 4-person crew, of Solar Carport Crew Lead & Installers to support our growing portfolio of carport solar projects Short Hills, NJ and Brooklyn, NY. If you take pride in precision, teamwork, and renewable energy, this opportunity is for you!
Pay: $26.00(Installers) - 32.00(Lead) per HR
Per Diem: $100.00 paid 7 days a week in Brooklyn, NY/ $80.00 paid 7 days a week in Short Hills, NJ Note: (Per diem changes daily when location changes)
Schedule: 5 days a week/ 9-10 hrs a day

Responsibilities:
-Assemble and install solar carport Solar Mounts racking systems based on project specifications and drawings
-Work with structural steel, torque tools, and lifts to build elevated solar structures
-Align and secure posts, beams, and rails accurately to support PV modules
-Collaborate with crew leads to ensure seamless workflow
-Follow all safety protocols and site procedures
Requirements:
-2+ years of mechanical solar installation experience, on carports or elevated structures required
-Comfort working at heights and with lift equipment (scissor lifts, boom lifts, etc.)
-Must have your own hand tools, drill, impact, and charged batteries
-Ability to read and follow installation plans and layout drawings
-Reliable transportation and strong work ethic to travel to Brooklyn NY and Short Hills NJ
-Ability to pass a random drug screen during employment
-Ability to work outdoors in weather all conditions.
