Men, Women and Family Shelters throughout New York City are seeking dedicated and dependable team players to join their Facilities team. Interested candidates must have a minimum of at least 1-2 years previous maintenance/custodial or janitorial experience, preferably in a shelter environment. Ability to work independently as well as in a team is necessary. High School Diploma or equivalent required. Flexibility to work weekends and holidays is needed.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Sweeping and mopping the floors
Changing lightbulbs
Vacuuming the carpet
Lite Painting
Moving furniture
Trash disposal
Cleaning apartments
Minor repairs
other duties as assigned
Work Schedule: M-F (8am-4pm) with the flexibility to work weekends and holidays.
