About Us
Even Keel (www.evenkeeldays.com) is a Brooklyn-based studio creating small-batch, plant-based bath and body goods. Each piece is handcrafted from the earth’s natural clays, oils, and botanicals, with a focus on sustainability and mindful design. Our BIPOC-led team is committed to crafting products — and a workspace — that reflect care, respect, and intention.
The Roles
We’re looking for 3 seasonal assistants to join us during the busy holiday season. Each role supports a different part of our work — from hands-on studio production to customer-facing sales.
1. Studio Assistant (East Williamsburg Studio)
A hands-on role in our workshop, helping prepare products that bring calm and care to our customers’ daily rituals.
Tasks include:
- Folding and assembling packaging for our soaps and apothecary goods
- Labeling and wrapping products with precision and care
- Assisting in making shower steamers and bath fizzies
- Cutting freshly cured soaps
2. Market Sales Associate (Union Square Holiday Market)
Be the face of Even Keel during the festive season, helping customers find the perfect gifts.
Tasks include:
- Engaging with customers in a warm, approachable manner
- Assisting with sales and transactions
- Keeping our booth stocked, tidy, and inviting
- commission/ bonus included
3. Content & Marketing Assistant (Flexible / Hybrid)
Support our small business marketing efforts by creating content that reflects our aesthetic and values.
Tasks include:
- Photographing products and behind-the-scenes moments
- Creating social media posts, reels, or stories
- Assisting with email marketing and seasonal promotions
Details for All Roles
Pay: $17/hr upon confirmation ($15/hr during a two-week training period)
Schedule: 8–21 hrs/week (varies by role), with potential for extended hours during peak weeks
Location: East Williamsburg studio (Grand Street L train), Union Square Holiday Market.
Seasonal roles run through the holidays, with the possibility of staying on longer if there’s mutual interest.
