An special needs support staff member is needed for an 11 year old child autism in the Self Direction Program that is located in the Bronx, by Roberto Clemente State Park.
The child has interest in art, gaming, swimming, being outdoors such a nature walks in the park, he loves traveling seeing all the city has to offer, he's a big foodie , a worker with shared interests would be helpful, We will require the staff member to assist the child with daily tasks such as working on conversational skills, learning healthy lifestyle skills and having structured recreational activities. The child is very energetic and we would like someone with experience with kids with ADHD, or previous work with individuals that have autism would be helpful.
There's (1) opening for 18 hours a week.
-Flexible hours - M-F and weekends. A set schedule can be discussed with the family.
- Paid online training, must have HS Diploma, clean background check, job experience is a plus.
