We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented pharmacist for our store in Rego Park, NY. We offer competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following job duties:
- Accurately fill and dispense prescriptions while ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations.
- Provide medication counseling and guidance to patients regarding dosage, side effects, and drug interactions.
- Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness.
- Maintain pharmacy records, including prescription files, patient profiles, and insurance documentation.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare providers regarding patient medications and treatment plans.
- Ensure proper storage and security of medications.
- Supervise and guide pharmacy technicians as needed.
- Stay updated on new medications, pharmacy practices, and industry regulations.
Requirements are as follows:
- Active New York State Pharmacist License in good standing.
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy law and regulations.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with PrimeRx Micromerchant is a plus.
