Optical Technician Needed
Our busy family eyecare medical practice needs a medical technician to help us give patients a 5-star experience every time they’re here. This is a full-time position at our office with NO WEEKENDS!
What you’ll be doing as a optical technician:
As a technician, you are the first person to work with each patient during their appointment, you will pretest the patient and help develop a relationship in order to determine their vision and medical needs!
Some of your duties will include:
- Taking the patient to the exam room and verifying their ocular and medical history.
- Spending time with each patient before the doctor comes in, performing duties such as measuring visual acuity, autorefraction, lensometry, tonometry, topography; and taking retinal photographs. )
- Taking specific contact lens measurements and teaching the patient to insert and remove contact lenses.
Experience
Prior medical office or eyecare experience is preferred . We offer paid training to the right person with a great attitude, a helpful heart, and a love of learning! We will make sure you’re totally confident working with the equipment and patients before you start handling these tasks alone.
