Position: Dental Assistant
Schedule: Tuesday & Wednesday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Type: Part-time, 2 days/week
Location: Park Slope Brooklyn, 5min walk from Atlantic Avenue–Barclays Center station
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate dental assistant to join our growing practice! Our dental office is an all-female practice focused on patient well-being and community. We have been a cohesive force for over a decade with five core members pioneering our journey right from the start, and we are excited to add a new member as we continue to grow. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and smooth workflow.
- Prepare and maintain instruments, equipment, and materials required for treatment.
- Take and develop X-rays as needed.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-procedure care.
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment following safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate patient records and assist with scheduling appointments.
Qualifications:
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent experience preferred.
- Knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and materials.
- Proficiency in 4-handed dentistry; experience with rear delivery systems is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
