Job Posting: Temporary Public Space Attendant – Event Venue (Midtown Manhattan)
Pay: $18/hour
Schedule: Varies 4–6 days/week depending on events
Shift Times: Primarily 7:00 AM–4:00 PM and PM shifts that may end at 12 (midnight)

About the Role:
We are currently seeking Public Space Attendants to support our luxury event venue in Midtown Manhattan. This temporary position plays a key role in maintaining the cleanliness, presentation, and safety of all public areas—including the lobby, restrooms (including male restrooms), and other shared spaces—in accordance with our high standards and New York City laws and regulations.
Primary Responsibilities:
Clean and maintain all assigned public areas before, during, and after events
Perform daily restroom inspections and sanitation tasks, including restocking supplies and promptly addressing any maintenance issues
Use cleaning tools and products (mops, squeegees, disinfectants, etc.) properly and safely
Monitor assigned spaces for cleanliness, safety, and guest needs throughout the shift
Communicate courteously and professionally with guests and team members
Follow all safety procedures and sanitation standards set by the venue and local health regulations
Skills & Requirements:
Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and move continuously for extended periods
Ability to lift and carry light to moderate loads (e.g., trash bags, cleaning equipment)
Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
Clear verbal communication skills; basic reading and writing skills preferred
Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Must be able to work flexible hours including early mornings, weekends, and holidays depending on event schedule
Preferred Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED preferred
Previous experience in housekeeping, janitorial, or hospitality support is a plus, but not required
Additional Notes:
This is a temporary position running from September through the end of December, with scheduling based on event volume. The role requires professional appearance, discretion, and a guest-first attitude at all times.
