Modern Love Brooklyn is a busy and well-loved from-scratch vegan kitchen. We are hiring a sous chef, who is is proficient at expediting tickets and can master all recipes and stations. Sous will also assist our Head Chef with inventory/orders and be tasked with managing the prep team to complete all projects on time.
We are looking for a sous chef with an interest in plant-based cooking, or who loves to learn new things. If you have no prior vegan experience, we are definitely willing to train.

-Experience leading a team in the kitchen
-Great attitude and team work, cool under pressure
-A love for food and people
-Great organization, especially when it comes to expediting tickets
-Communication skills
-Plating skills, great tastebuds
A valid up-to-date NYC DOH food handlers
We are hiring for March. Hours are weekend brunch and Monday to Wednesday weeknights. Vegan experience is a plus but not necessary, we are willing to train. Weekend availability is a must but we do offer a flexible schedule. We are open 7 days a week for dinner and weekend brunch.
