We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Server to join our team. As a Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, taking orders, delivering food and beverages, and ensuring a positive dining experience in the most breathtaking setting in Manhattan- our rooftop! Must have NYC serving experience, minimum 3 years, a stellar personality, and the flexibility needed to work out on a boat! Seasonal venue, Staff needed May1-Oct 1 2024!
Duties:
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Present menus and make recommendations to guests
- Take accurate food and drink orders
- Deliver food and beverages promptly and accurately
- Ensure guest satisfaction by checking on tables regularly
- Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints with professionalism and courtesy
- Assist with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Process payments accurately using POS systems like OpenTable
- Follow all safety and sanitation procedures
Experience:
- Previous experience in customer service or the hospitality industry is preferred
- Knowledge of basic math for handling payments
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong communication skills to interact with guests and team members
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
