About Us
TALEA is NYC’s female-founded craft brewery changing the perception of craft beer. We operate 5 taprooms across Manhattan and Brooklyn that bring our craft beer as well as cocktails, wine, and food to guests through a hospitality-focused experience. We are known for our welcoming environment, female-forward brand, and beautifully designed spaces. TALEA has collaborated with world-renowned brands like Levain, Fishwife, Olipop, and Shake Shack. Our beers are available at Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s, Costco and hundreds of bars, restaurants, and retailers across NYC and the surrounding areas.
The Role
TALEA is looking for eager, hard workers to join our team. The kitchen role is an integral part of our taproom experiences. Our kitchen program is critical to our guest experience, requiring, cooking, prepping, plating, and cleaning with attention to details. Organization and consistency a must.
As a member of the nimble TALEA team, you’ll be joining a growing company and working closely with the Head Chef, General Manager, and Taproom Managers. Responsibilities
Punctual, responsible and able to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organization
A love for quality, organization and order
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
Food and ingredient knowledge
Handles, stores, and rotates all products properly
Able to stand on your feet for long hours
Stay up to date on all menu changes
Communicate thoughtfully, respectfully, and efficiently with coworkers and customers
Maintain a positive outlook and professional behavior under pressure
Requirements
Excited about TALEA’s vision, and obsessed with customer satisfaction
Enthusiastic and comfortable working for an early-stage company in a rapidly changing environment
Strong attention to detail
1-2 years of kitchen/prepping experience
Self-motivated and self-disciplined, you take initiative and work autonomously
Must be 21 years of age or older
Ability to lift 25 pounds
Available to work 8 hour shifts during days, evenings, weekends, and holidays starting immediately
