Part-Time Line Cook

Orion Bar is a Korean & American bar in Bushwick, Brooklyn, with interesting Korean spirits, signature twists on classic cocktails, and a soju, beer, & wine program, served alongside unique Korean American bar snacks and late night food.
Role
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook. The Line Cook will play a key role in executing our menu with precision, creativity, and consistency. As a crucial member of our culinary team, the Lead Line Cook will collaborate closely with the Head Chef to maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and safety.
Responsibilities:
Prepare, cook, and plate dishes according to established recipes and standards
Ensure that all food products are handled, stored, and prepared safely and in accordance with food safety regulations
Maintain inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed
Monitor kitchen equipment and report any maintenance issues to management
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment
Uphold cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, adhering to sanitation and hygiene standards at all times
Qualifications:
Proven record working as a line cook in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with at least 2 years of experience
Knowledge of or interest in Korean cuisine is a plus
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure
Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred, but not required
Food handler’s license required
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Compensation:
$22-24/hour
