Restaurant & Lounge currently seeking a passionate and experienced Caribbean Chef to join our dynamic team! We are an upscale, speakeasy-style lounge offering private dining experiences and curated events. We’re looking for someone who brings authentic island flavor, creativity, and consistency to every dish.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and execute traditional and modern Caribbean dishes with excellence and consistency.
Assist with menu development, including seasonal and signature items.
Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and cleanliness.
Monitor inventory, control food costs, and ensure proper storage and sanitation.
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of experience cooking in Caribbean cuisine (Jamaican, Trinidadian, Guyanese).
Knowledge of key Caribbean ingredients, spices, and cooking techniques.
Ability to cook a variety of dishes including oxtail, jerk chicken, curry goat, escovitch fish, rice and peas, salmon, pasta, etc.
Strong organizational and leadership skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dining setting.
Must be reliable, creative, and committed to quality.
