We are seeking a part-time line cook to join our team. We are a very high-volume bar serving classing pub food in a lively environment. Currently, we are looking to add an additional line cook to prepare for the busy fall season, with parties and lots of sports on TV (we sell a lot of chicken wings during football season!)
AVAILABILITY TO WORK MUST INCLUDE: Wednesday night shift (4p-closing), and Saturday and Sunday availability.
Position will start as part-time, with possible room to grow as the business grows.
The ideal candidate will possess:
-NYC department of health food handlers certification
-Ability to self-motivate during slow periods to complete prep work
-Ability to handle high volume during peak times
-Reliability and punctuality are a must! No partiers please.
-Ability to communicate in English and Spanish is very helpful
-Familiarity with working in an all electric kitchen. We do not have a flattop, burners, or fryers. We have large combi-ovens.
-Ability to follow steps of service and recipe guides for our menu, as well as willingness and ability to work with other cooks and management help create new menu items and specials.
-Must be a team player.
-Must have valid working documents for employment verification
