Izzy Rose, a popular cocktail bar in Clinton Hill, is seeking a barback for Saturday and Sunday evenings.
Open call will be held from 12 PM til 4 PM Monday August 25th at the bar (214 Greene Ave). The chosen candidate will be asked to return at 5PM to begin training the same day. The ideal candidate will have most of the following qualifications.
- be able to lift 50 - 75lbs
- 1 to 3 years experience in kitchens, coffee, or hospitality
- ability to work extended shifts
- legally able to work in the US (non negotiable)
This position calls for the barback to
- prep batched cocktails
- juice and stock product
- assist in the maintenance of the space (ie, stocking and cleaning of lowboys, clearing and cleaning glasswear, etc)
- willing to work as team to satisfy the needs of the business.
TERMS
- the barbacks at Izzy Rose are apprentice bartenders and will learn about wine and beer service as well as cocktail construction and service
-$12 hr + 20% of the daily tips. (Saturdays 25% split with another barback)
