Job Summary:
As a Barista, you will be at the forefront of our coffee-making operation, responsible for crafting beverages and ensuring exceptional customer service. Your passion for coffee, attention to detail, and commitment to providing a welcoming environment will be key to your success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Coffee Preparation: Prepare and serve a variety of espresso-based beverages, drip coffee, and specialty drinks with precision and consistency.
Customer Service: Greet customers with a warm and friendly attitude, take orders, answer questions about menu items, and provide recommendations based on customer preferences.
Quality Control: Ensure the highest quality of coffee by consistently following our brewing and preparation standards.
Maintaining Cleanliness: Keep the work area, equipment, and seating area clean and organized at all times to create a comfortable and inviting atmosphere.
Cash Handling: Accurately process customer payments and manage cash register operations.
Stock Management: Monitor and replenish coffee beans, syrups, pastries, and other supplies as needed.
Team Collaboration: Collaborate with fellow baristas and team members to ensure smooth workflow
Adherence to Safety and Health Regulations: Follow all health and safety guidelines, including food safety protocols and sanitation practices.
Customer Engagement: Engage with customers, build rapport, and create a welcoming environment that encourages repeat visits.
Qualifications:
Prior experience in specialty coffee is preferred
Latte art is preferred but not required, as long as you're willing to learn on the job
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards
Flexibility in work hours, including weekends and holidays
