Cafe Mado is seeking an experienced, passionate, and professional Server to join our team!
Redwood Hospitality is seeking a full-time Server to join the team at their newest venture, Cafe Mado (opening soon). Cafe Mado will be the third project from Michelin-starred Redwood Hospitality, after Oxalis, Place des Fêtes and Laurel Bakery. Cafe Mado is a daytime cafe located in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, and will serve a seated lunch in the back room and backyard, with coffee, Laurel Bakery pastries, breakfast items and pre-prepared foods offered in the front room of the restaurant.
Cafe Mado is looking for individuals who create genuine connections with their guests and who pride themselves on the ability to curate a memorable experience. Experience with low-intervention wine and cocktails is a plus, while attention to detail and steps of service is a must. Service will include lunch as well as early dinner service, both indoors and outdoors in our back garden. This role is for the opening team of the restaurant and will be involved in honing in our SOPs and getting the space ready for the public.
We are looking for a full-time Server (4-5 shifts/week), with open availability, who can start training this week.
The ideal candidate possesses the following qualifications:
- 2 years Serving experience in NYC or another major city
- Knowledge of Toast POS
- Open availability and a flexible schedule
- A genuine passion for hospitality and the ability to create stellar guest experiences
- Strong work ethic and a team-player attitude
- Knowledge of low intervention wines and spirits is a plus
- Experience on the opening team of a restaurant is a plus
- Barista experience is a plus
