We are a local embroidery and flower shop in Red Hook, Brooklyn, looking for a reliable, friendly, and sales-oriented person to join our team long-term. This is a customer-facing role that also requires strong computer and social media skills.
Responsibilities:
Answer phone calls and assist walk-in customers with embroidery and flower orders
Actively engage customers and help drive sales (upselling flowers, custom embroidery, add-ons, etc.)
Enter and track orders in spreadsheets (Google Sheets / Excel)
Assist with shop emails and online inquiries
Support social media (Instagram, TikTok, etc.) with posts and updates
Keep the front area organized and welcoming
Handle pressure during busy seasons and holidays with a positive attitude
Requirements:
Strong communication and sales skills (English required; Spanish is a plus)
Comfortable with computers, spreadsheets, and social media platforms
Able to multitask and stay calm under pressure, especially during peak holiday times
Previous customer service or retail experience required
Friendly, professional, reliable, and motivated
Looking for long-term employment, not seasonal/short-term
Schedule & Compensation:
Full-time.
Must be available during holiday seasons (Mother’s Day, Valentine’s Day, Christmas, etc.)
Compensation: $17–$18 hour (based on experience)
