Responsibilities:
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and gathering spices
- Assist in the cooking process by following recipes and instructions from management
- Cook food items according to established standards and guidelines
- Ensure food is cooked to the appropriate temperature and is presented in an appealing manner
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment
- Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures to prevent contamination and to keep a clean and sanitized kitchen
- Follow up instructions from management
Experience:
- Previous experience in a food service or culinary role is preferred
- Knowledge of basic food preparation techniques and cooking methods
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and guidelines
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurate
- Kitchen maintenance - clean kitchen
Skills:
- Proficient in using kitchen tools, such as knives and other culinary equipment
- Knowledge of different cooking techniques and methods
- Understanding of proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work well as part of a team and take direction from superiors
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely completion of tasks
