Mercer Street Hospitality is looking for an AM or PM Dishwasher/Porter to be part of the opening team for an exciting new seafood concept located in the W Union Square Hotel!
Requirement:
· Must be at least 18 years old
· Willing and able to work varying shifts, weekends, evenings, and holidays (Flexible schedule and overnight shifts also available).
· Able to stand for long periods
· Able to work unsupervised
· Able to follow directions and work in a team environment
· Understanding of restaurant operational procedures
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Responsibility for the cleanliness of dishware
· Load, run, and unload the dish machine
· Monitor dish machine water temperature and detergent/sanitizer/chemical levels to ensure sanitary wash cycle
· Keep the dish machine cleaned and report any functional or mechanical problems
· Keep dish room, food preparation, and production area clean and organized as required
· Properly washes, sanitizes and stores all tableware and kitchenware
