Bagizza is a new quick-casual concept opening at the corner of 49th Street & Madison Avenue in Midtown Manhattan. We serve artisanal, hand-rolled bagels, homemade cream cheese, house-cured meats, and specialty bagel sandwiches. By lunch and dinner, we fire up pizza alongside our signature deli menu. With the upcoming opening of the new J.P. Morgan Headquarters nearby, Bagizza is poised to be a Midtown go-to for breakfast, lunch, and beyond.
The Role
We’re looking for a versatile Deli Line Cook who can do it all. This position requires an energetic, detail-oriented, and reliable cook who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in executing high-quality food consistently.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook across multiple stations, including:
Breakfast buffet setup and service
Breakfast sandwiches with bagels, meats, and eggs
Deli station: slicing meats, assembling bagel sandwiches, plating with precision
Pizza station: stretching dough, topping, and baking to perfection
Perform prep work for the line (slicing, roasting, mixing, portioning, etc.)
Maintain a clean and organized work area, following DOH and food safety standards
Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure efficient service and smooth transitions between dayparts (breakfast → lunch → dinner)
Assist with inventory, receiving deliveries, and stocking stations as needed
Uphold Bagizza’s standards for quality, presentation, and speed
Qualifications
2+ years of line cook experience in a deli, pizzeria, café, or similar high-volume environment
Strong multitasking skills and ability to shift between breakfast, deli, and pizza production seamlessly
Comfortable with prep work and executing standardized recipes consistently
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices (NYC DOH compliance a plus)
Team player with a positive attitude and reliability
Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and evenings as required
