Schaller & Weber is hiring! We are looking for an experienced counter associate to help support our Flagship store in Yorkville. You will join a team of dedicated individuals who know German and other specialty foods.
About the position:
This is a part time position, with potential to be full time in the future.
Evening and weekend availability preferred.
Welcoming clients, friendly guest service, accurately weighing and/or slicing to order.
Stocks counter neatly, accurately and in a timely manner.
Willingness to flex and assist into other areas of the store such as stocking and cashier.
Maintains a clean, organized and sanitary station in compliance with Department of Agriculture standards.
Works with a sense of urgency and efficiency.
A team player that performs other duties as required or assigned.
About You:
Self-motivated with 1+ year of experience working in customer service, preferably in a food retail environment.
Ability to accurately follow written and verbal instructions.
Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, management and guests.
Ability to work with knives.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Experience working on a deli slicer is a plus.
