We are excited to be joining the Bryant Park Winter Village this year, and we are looking for a few stellar Holiday Sales Associates / Counter Servers to work at our pop-up location!
We will be selling eats & treats featuring that holiday favorite - the Chestnut. From delicious, fresh roasted chestnuts; to brownies & cookies; Chest-Nog; and beautiful Gift Boxes! The Great Chestnut Experiment is on a mission to bring the American chestnut back into our culture.
Requirements:
- Genuinely love people
- Love smiling and bringing smiles to others
- Available October 20 through January 10, including holidays (we will be open every day, rain/snow/shine)
- Responsible with time, inventory, and financial transactions
- Be able to sell and up-sell
- Able to lift upwards of 30 lbs, and work on your feet
Qualifications:
- Proficient in Square or other Points of Sales platforms
- 1 - 2 years working in a retail, cafe or restaurant environment
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks; as well as working well with others
- Flexible work schedule and ability to work overtime as needed
- Experience with customer service, building and maintaining strong relationships with customers
- DoH Certified a major plus
Responsibilities:
- Answer customers questions regarding products and help customers check out
- Support a memorable and customized customer service experience
- Organize merchandise and displays
- Clean and organize the booth
