Busy, Bed-Stuy Cafe seeking experienced barista. Golda is a Mediterranean/Middle-eastern cafe with a health-forward twist; we are a small team that values commitment and hustle. This is a role that includes both coffee-making and serving food. Rate is ≈ $2532/hour including tips.
FOOD HANDLER CARD IS A MUST.
WEEKEND SHIFT IS A MUST.
4+ SHIFTS
Requirements:
Ability to use espresso machine correctly (ie different pours, drinks, latte art)
Experience serving a huge plus but not necessary, willing to train the right person
Food handlers certification is a must.
POS experience (ringing in orders, opening/closing drawer)
Positive attitude, towards guests and staff
Punctuality
Flexibility with schedule (being able to help cover a peers shift in an emergency)
Multi-tasking - this role involves making drinks, taking orders, using delivery apps, and serving food
Compensation is extremely competitive and is based on availability and experience.
