Flatiron eatery is looking for an experienced AM Line cook for immediate hire. The ideal candidate would have previous experience in high volume new york restaurants. Self motivated, works clean, and communicates well with food and beverage managers. Bilingual candidate a plus. Schedule is for Thursday-Monday 7:00am-3:00pm.
Responsibilities include
-Opening up the kitchen on time and to the precise specification of the establishment.
-Updating the AM Manager and server on any low items and 86s
-Ability to cook and plate dishes as shown by executive chef.
-Examine the daily prep list, complete recipes and preparations of vegetables and proteins as instructed.
-Maintain a clean and hazard free work space.
-Assist in daily family meal for PM staff.
-Prep large format platters for catering events when needed.
-Basic understanding of Egg preparations.
-Grill and previous management experience a plus.
-Open availability and willingness to be flexible.
This position requires a candidate who is confident in their ability to work solo while also contributing to the bigger picture. The ability to multi task, handle both prep and service, is key.
