The AM Busser/Runner is responsible for supporting the waitstaff by clearing tables, restocking supplies, and running food orders from the kitchen to the dining area. This role is essential for maintaining the flow of service and ensuring a clean and organized dining environment for guests during breakfast and lunch hours.
Key Responsibilities:
o Quickly clear and clean tables after guests have finished dining.
o Remove used dishes, glasses, and utensils and transport them to the dishwashing area.
o Wipe down tables, chairs, and high-touch surfaces to ensure cleanliness.
o Deliver food orders from the kitchen to the appropriate tables in a timely manner.
o Ensure accuracy of food orders and presentation standards.
o Communicate any special requests or dietary restrictions to the kitchen staff.
o Refill water glasses and provide additional items as needed, such as napkins and condiments.
o Restock and organize service stations with supplies such as silverware, plates, and glassware.
o Assist with setting up and breaking down dining areas before and after service.
o Assist guests with any immediate needs or requests, such as providing extra utensils or refilling beverages.
o Address guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally, escalating to the server or manager if necessary.
o Maintain a friendly and helpful demeanor towards guests at all times.
o Work closely with servers, kitchen staff, and other team members to ensure smooth service operations.
o Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate the delivery of food and clearing of tables.
o Assist with other tasks as needed to support the team, such as polishing silverware or folding napkins.
o Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.
o Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including keeping walkways clear of obstacles.
o Adhere to all restaurant policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as an AM busser/runner
Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Physical stamina to stand, walk, and carry items for extended periods.
