About the Role:Uber Eats is looking for a Strategic Operations Manager to manage the strategy and implementation of Grocery and Retail earner incentives and other initiatives that support earner supply growth and delivery reliability. This role calls for a combination of creative problem-solving, operational optimization, data analytics, and project management. You should be comfortable in an "all hands on deck" environment, enjoy solving problems and thrive in a startup environment. You will work cross-functionally with local operations teams, product, and finance to help grow Uber's grocery and retail business.What You'll Do:
Own Grocery & Retail earner incentives end-to-end including strategy, deployment, measurement and optimization
Proactively identify opportunities for performance improvement within the Grocery & Retail marketplace, ranging from improving supply positioning, helping earners become more proficient, more efficiently spending money or one of our many Grocery & Retail marketplace priorities
Analyze data and aggregate insights to identify, scope, and recommend solutions, then take ownership for delivering on the project and the outcomes
Advise leadership on long-term strategy and decision making by defining critical metrics, developing dashboards, and providing strategic insights
Collaborate and work cross-functionally with Product and other Operations teams as well as with Data Science, Finance, and Customer Support to ensure insights inform broader critical initiatives
Basic Qualifications:
2+ years of professional work experience in a related field (consulting, investment banking, technology, operations, strategy, or analytics)
Bachelor's degree, preferrably in Computer Science, Mathematics, Business Administration or related fields
Experience with large data analysis in Excel/Google Sheets
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficiency in SQL
Experience problem-solving and proposing unique solutions to complex issues
Strong experience building and executing complex processes
Strong communication and presentation skills, including experience presenting data & insights to a sophisticated audience
Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills - building deep, trust-based relationships with teams and cross-functional partners
Strong business judgment and critical thinking skills with the ability to use data to develop strategies and make decisions quickly
For Chicago, IL-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$91,000 per year - USD$101,500 per year. For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$101,000 per year - USD$112,500 per year. For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$101,000 per year - USD$112,500 per year. For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
