Core Responsibilities
Plan and direct all activities for the onsite vendor group for normal day to day functions and unit outages.
Provide support and material required for the efficient and economical maintenance and repair of equipment and facilities.
Maintain the integrity of the Contractor Administration Process.
Utilize various computer applications such as Maximo and Engage (E-Plan, DATA Splice, and Maintenance Technical Library) along with other administrative and training functions.
Conduct meetings as necessary to facilitate work activities and to ensure compliance and cost management. It will be expected that the individual will network with a number of levels of management, union, and outside contractors to ensure efficient operations.
Support the Station during normal day-to-day and outage periods by providing vendor support for various tasks.
Review weekly and outage schedules to determine the vendor support that is required. Generate purchase requisitions, solicits proposals, and ensures purchase orders are in place prior to the work.
Ensure eHASPs are submitted and approved prior to the start of work.
Analyze work scope and requirements for all outages with Company Engineering support and ensures specifications are developed to support vendor work.
Maintain the integrity of the Contractor Administration Process, ensuring the process is audit ready and CAM compliant.
Work with System Engineering, Operations, EH&S, and technical groups to develop specifications and scopes of work for infrequently performed evolutions that require vendor support, e.g. Low frequency PMs and Overhauls.
Provide support for corrective, compliance, and preventative maintenance work orders for the location. Provide lists reflecting the status of these items.
Support the development of Weekly and Outage work schedules by participating in and conducting weekly scheduled meetings with Operations, Maintenance, I&C, and Engineering.
Work with the procurement supervisor to ensure blanket purchase agreements (BPAs) and contract purchase agreements are created, funded, and utilized. Research alternate vendors for materials and services and assists in gaining approvals to be included on the Supply Chain Qualified Supplier List (QSL).
Work with the station's budget analyst in preparing a budget plan which includes accurate funding required to complete vendor work.
Assist in preparing planning packages and fill in for the planning supervisor, procurement supervisor and/or Project Specialist.
Utilize appropriate mainframe and/or personal computer applications. Maintain the integrity of the system used through established security practices.
Strive to improve morale and productivity of subordinates. Adhere to Company rules and terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Determine appropriate disciplinary action, conducts interviews, participates in settlement of grievances, and evaluates subordinates' work performance.

Required Education/Experience
Bachelor's Degree and 3 years equivalent work experience in power plant environment, related industry, electrical and mechanical equipment or
Associate's Degree and 4 years equivalent work experience in power plant environment, related industry, electrical and mechanical equipment or
High School Diploma/GED and 5 years equivalent work experience in power plant environment, related industry, electrical and mechanical equipment
Preferred Education/Experience
Bachelor's Degree and 3 years equivalent work experience in power plant environment, related industry, electrical and mechanical equipment
Relevant Work Experience
Knowledge of safe work practices/procedures and use of appropriate personal protective equipment. Required
Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to effectively interact withboth internal and external customers, support staff, and various levels of management and union. Required
Knowledge of material procurement, outage coordination, technical report writing, scheduling, technical drawing interpretation, purchasing, power plant maintenance. Required
Ability to work as part of a team. Required
Proficient in the following computer programs/applications - Microsoft office, work management systems such as Maximo. Required
Knowledge and experience with powerplant equipment and systems, facilities, steam turbines, gas turbines and generator overhauls, overhaul specifications, practices and methods. Preferred
1-3 years of supervisory experience with proven skills to motivate people. Preferred
Licenses & Certifications
Driver's License Required
Other: TWIC-Transportation Worker Identification Credential 1 1/2 Yrs Preferred and
Certified Project Management (CPM) Preferred or
Project Management Professional (PMP) Preferred
Physical Demands
Ability to respond to system emergencies
Able to work in all weather conditions, i.e. excessive heat and/or cold
Perform heavy manual labor, i.e. push, pull, and lift up to 50lbs
Ability to carry tools and materials when climbing ladders and scaffolds, and entering confined spaces
Work in, under, and on top of all types of company vehicles and/or equipment
Ability to work in adverse conditions that include, noise, confined spaces, and high elevations
Ability to climb ladders and stairs
Ability to work on elevated platforms, scaffolds, catwalks, roofs, and/or other equipment
Ability to work in inclement weather and adverse conditions (i.e., excessive heat, cold, noise, confined spaces)
Ability to work with, and in, the vicinity of high voltage and/or other high-energy systems
Ability to be approved to wear and use either a full or half-face respirator and self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA), without facial hair or other conditions that may interfere with the seal, in accordance with OSHA regulations
Stand, walk, and climb ladders and stairs for the duration of the workday
Stand, walk, lift, climb, bend, kneel, stoop, and/or reach for the duration of the workday
Unload materials from delivery vehicles and deliver equipment and materials to various operating facilities
Ability to travel to company locations to work on storm restoration and heat contingencies
Use hand-eye coordination to adjust controls on equipment
Wear necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), i.e. fire-retardant clothing and safety harnesses
Other Physical Demands
Must be able to respond to Company emergencies by performing a System Emergency Assignment to restore service to our customers.
Must be physically able to work in a power plant environment with extreme heat conditions, noise, high elevations, and confined spaces.
Must be able to work under conditions of high temperatures and at high elevations in the plant.
