Job DescriptionReporting directly to the Office of Quality Assurance Program Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:

Under supervision, determine the acceptability of building repairs and materials.

Inspect materials such as paint, linoleum, brick, hardware, plumbing, electrical to ensure compliance with specifications.

Prepare required reports in computer systems based on field inspections of repairs.

Keep records of required repairs using manual and computer systems.

Witness repair work being performed to ensure the repairs are being made properly and in a timely manner.

May perform Quality Assurance inspections of items or services unrelated to those described above.

A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State’s Department

of Education or a recognized accrediting organization, and three years of full-time satisfactory experience in: (a) the building trades as a journeyperson or helper, or as a maintenance mechanic performing repairs to building hardware and equipment; or (b) the inspection of repairs to buildings; or (c) monitoring contractors performing building repairs for compliance with contract specifications; or

An associate degree from an accredited college or university, and two years of full-time satisfactory experience as described in "1" above; or

A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university, and one year of full-time satisfactory experience as described in "1" above; or

A satisfactory combination of education and/or experience equivalent to "1", "2" or "3" above.

College credits obtained from an accredited college or university, may be substituted for experience on the basis of 60 college semester credits for one year of full-time experience.
