Outreach Analyst

As an Outreach Analyst at Kinetic Communities Consulting Corporation (KC3), you will have the opportunity to impact communities and organizations seeking to create a more sustainable future. We are looking for a passionate and experienced individual to join our team and be responsible for developing and executing outreach strategies to recruit residents to participate in clean energy incentive programs.

We believe that promoting climate resilience means meeting these communities where they are and finding solutions that work for them. We partner with local governments, the private sector, and nonprofit institutions to expand energy efficiency product integration in communities with the greatest need, educate building decision-makers on utilizing energy efficiency to preserve housing, and enhance opportunities in the energy sector for local New Yorkers.

Job Overview

As an Outreach Analyst, you will execute outreach to support primarily government and utility clean energy programs. You will work closely with KC3 project teams to design and implement community-driven outreach strategies in New Jersey and New York City. You will be responsible for recruiting participants into the programs through various outreach channels. Responsibilities

Develop Outreach Strategies

Work closely with program implementation teams and partners to identify and develop initiatives that advance program goals

Identify and engage community and industry partners to increase program reach and the number of participants in the programs

Identify outreach pipelines that can feed leads into the programs

Collaborate with internal teams to inform outreach campaigns or limited-time offerings to increase program participation

Stay informed on complementary programs and offerings that will benefit program participants

Attend virtual internal team coordination meetings

Implement Outreach Strategies

Directly engage and recruit program participants through phone calls, emails, in-person events, and other outreach activities

Attend in-person meetings and events, occasionally on weeknights and weekends

Develop messaging and communications to influence participant decision-making

Present program information to various audiences, including homeowners/building owners and renters from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds

Provide recommendations on energy efficiency opportunities for homes and/or buildings

Use program tools to conduct basic analysis of building energy consumption, building characteristics, and incentive opportunities

Refer program participants to internal subject matter experts for technical assistance

Meet monthly outreach and participant recruitment goals

Track outreach and engagement activities through a project tracking software

About You

The ideal candidate should have one or more years of work experience, an entrepreneurial spirit, and a passion for environmental, social, and economic justice. We seek a proactive candidate who can adapt and solve problems independently and collaboratively. You should be a skilled salesperson who is excited to join a dynamic team that is committed to a just energy transition.

Required qualifications:

Minimum of 1 year of experience in outreach and/or sales, particularly sales related to clean energy, environmental, climate, and/or decarbonization

Experience executing outreach and collaborating with cross-functional teams

Written and verbal communication skills

Ability to prioritize tasks and meet monthly goals in a fast-paced environment

Ability to travel throughout New Jersey State and New York City 75% of the time, and has occasional availability during weekends and weeknights

Desired qualifications

Bilingual competency (Spanish, Chinese, Urdu, Arabic, Russian, or other)

Experience with energy or sustainability initiatives

Relationships and experience working with local community-based organizations

Priority will be provided to residents in Essex, Middlesex, Monmouth, Ocean, Union, Passaic, Morris, Burlington, Mercer, Somerset, Sussex, Hunterdon, and Warren counties.

Salary Range

This is a full-time, commission-based contractor position with a base hourly wage of $28.85, eligible for monthly performance bonus payments of up to $1,650 per month, in addition to the base hourly wage. Monthly performance bonus payments will be calculated based on criteria tied to program goals (e.g., the number of participants recruited into the program per month).
