The Dwight School, located on the Upper WestSide of Manhattan, is seeking a full-time Handyman. Handyman Days: Monday - Friday Hours: 8 hour shifts; specific hours determined based on availability and the needs of the school. Responsibilities of Position:

Must report to assigned shift on time

Must be in appropriate work attire as defined by supervisor

Must be able to follow direction and communicate with supervisor to ensure daily needs of the facility are met

Must be able to follow a written schedule of events

Must be able to perform carpentry, electrical, plumbing and other tasks.

Must be able to work outdoors if needed

Must be able to complete set up of tables and chairs and sporting events as needed

Must be willing to learn how to operate all mechanical equipment and report irregularities

Must maintain a professional relationship with all students, faculty, staff, visitors and related community of the school

Must be able to respond to emergency’s as directed

Must be aware and assist will all facility emergency procedures and assist in securing the facility

Requirements of Position:

Proven handyman experience

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required

Ability to maintain focus while working individually

S-95 Fireguard License a PLUS

Compensation commensurate upon experience: Starting rate $18-22 per hour
