Description Our client is seeking a Full Charge Bookkeeper to join their team. The Full Charge Bookkeeper will handle bank reconciliations, journal entries, month-end close, cash flow, financial statement preparation, audit, full cycle A/P, and payroll. The clerical staff will be managed by the Full Charge Bookkeeper. Qualified candidates should be self-driven and organized accounting professionals capable of thrives under tight deadlines with minimal supervision in this Bookkeeper role. This permanent employment opportunity is based in the New York, New York area.Your responsibilities in this role
Prepare cash flow projections, as needed
Handle monthly accounting close
Report business license and gross receipts
Skilled in credit card management and reconciliation
Set up subcontractor 1099's, and any other IRS year-end requirement
Prepare monthly reconciliations, financial statements and all supporting documents
Group sales tax records and create and file quarterly payments
Mark budget transfers
Other special projects as requested
Lead Accounts Receivable
Complete Accounts Payable
Fashion cash account journal entries including loans, taxes, bank fees, 401(k) deductions, etc.

Experience working in the construction industry a huge plus
Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
AIA Billing experience desired
Excellent analytical, organizational, and vendor management skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business-related field preferred
Remarkable accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper preferred
Strong organization skills with a sense of urgency and capable of prioritizing multiple tasks
5+ years of related experience- Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills
Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines
