- Design, develop and implement analytical solutions for data quality assessment, monitoring, and reporting
- Leverage data preparation, data analysis, dashboard, and scorecard development tools
- Assist with CDE identification, formulation and implementation of relevant data quality rules
- Responsible for performing scheduled and ad-hoc data quality monitoring, triaging data quality issues by analyzing the data quality scorecard statistics, exception logs, and partnering with appropriate technology and business owners until issues are resolved
- Execute upon the bank wide data governance and data quality road map
- Contribute to foundational and emerging data quality assessment and monitoring capabilities for a variety of business domains, including but not limited to, Anti Financial Crimes, Retail/Commercial Banking, Finance and Treasury, and Enterprise Data Management
- Participate in management meetings as needed and assist with presenting Enterprise Data Quality program updates to stakeholders
- Assist the Head of Data Quality with assigned activities and committees (such as the Data Governance Committee, data domain forums, regulatory sessions, and internal audit updates)
- Bachelor's degree required (Master's degree preferred), with a Data Science mindset along with relevant combined data quality engineering and data governance experience related to financial services.
- 5 years of experience of programming skills utilizing advanced SQL on large data sets
- 3 years of strong data wrangling, data profiling scripting experience with Python in Jupyter, or VSCode notebooks, using pyodbc, and pandas
- 3 years of experience with VBA, Advanced Excel including Pivot Tables
- Hands on experience with Microsoft SSIS, DQS, Tableau, and Power BI preferred
- Basic understanding of financial data and financial services (banking, insurance etc.), and regulatory and compliance knowledge are required
- Intellectual curiosity, problem solving skills, root cause analysis and issue resolution
- Natural self-starter and ability to autonomously drive projects forward
- Must be able to design, implement, and assess data governance & related data analytics activities
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products, including Excel and Visio
- Strong communication skills including ability to communicate technical and analytics concepts to senior management, business partners, internal audit and external regulators
