Title of Position: Director, Special Events FLSA Status: ExemptDepartment: DevelopmentReports to: Vice President, Stakeholder Engagement Salary $95,000 - $130,000 About Win Win is dedicated to breaking the cycle of homelessness by providing transitional and supportive shelters for women-led families. Many of our families have escaped domestic violence and strive to keep their families together and safe. Win’s Income Building Program supports our clients by facilitating their transition from unemployment to employment and helping those already employed to improve their circumstances. This includes increasing wages, moving from part-time to full-time work, securing health benefits, and transitioning from off-the-books to on-the-books positions. Additionally, Win offers financial literacy workshops to equip our clients with essential skills such as budgeting, bill paying, and basic fiscal management. Win’s current operating budget is approximately $150 million, with $14 million raised privately through private and corporate funding, supporting programs and services including the Income Building Program and Camp Win.Purpose of the Opportunity Are you a creative and entrepreneurial fundraising professional with a passion for making a difference? As the Director of Special Events at WIN, you will lead and orchestrate revenue-generating events that are pivotal to our mission. Reporting to the Vice President, you will be the driving force behind event planning and production, ensuring each event not only meets but exceeds annual goals. Your exemplary relationship-building skills will be key in managing high-profile fundraising events and securing vital funding for WIN.Key Accountabilities Event Planning

Manage event logistics including signage, registration, volunteers, staffing, and talent management.

Imagine and execute memorable events for Win: Coordinate vendor production schedules and manage venue contracts, save-the-date invitation design, media loops, printing and mailing, caterers, photographers, videographers, and consultants for each event.

Develop and manage run of show and production of major fundraising events.

Budget Management

Create and oversee comprehensive management plan for major fundraising events.

Manage budget spend, acquisition, cultivation, and retention of event participants, solicit corporate sponsorships, provide pre- and post-event follow up, provide committee recruitment, manage event committees, and maintain timelines on all design materials.

Coordinate vendor production schedules and manage venue contracts, save-the-date invitation design, media loops, printing and mailing, caterers, photographers, videographers, and consultants for each event.

Develop and manage run of show and production of major fundraising events.

Donor Cultivation, Fundraising, and Engagement

Track and manage ticket sales and sponsorships, draft correspondence and solicitation mailings, and execute sponsorship benefit elements.

Support the VP of Stakeholder Engagement in cultivating and maintaining close working relationships with Win board members, event chairs, committees, and honorees.

Function as lead relationship manager for Win Partners and the Impact Party.

Collaborate with key stakeholders including board members and Win senior staff to meet budget goals with a strong focus on return on investment (ROI).

Partner with the communications team to imagine and implement effective marketing strategies and campaigns that highlight Win events.

Research and present potential new donor prospects and key industry stakeholders to the Vice President of Stakeholder Engagement and the Senior Vice President of Development.

Analytics

Maintain database for all event donors and contributions.

Implement an event evaluation process to highlight ROI analysis and ensure continuous improvement.

Maintain a flexible work schedule that may include evenings and weekend events as needed.

Other related duties as assigned.

Essential Functions:

Must be able to sit at a computer for the majority of the work day.

Must use public transportation to travel to Win sites and other related meetings and events.

Qualifications:

Commitment to Win’s mission, vision, and values.

BA plus and five (5) years of experience in event management executing high profile fundraising events.

Excellent verbal and written communications skills with superior attention to detail.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Salesforce experience a plus.

Knowledge of graphic design, photography, video editing, InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator a plus.
