Description We are seeking a diligent Benefits Administrator to join our team in New York, New York. In this role, you will be working in the HRIS sector, focusing on employee benefits administration. This role offers a unique opportunity to engage with all levels of our organization and play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our benefits programs.Responsibilities: Administer employee benefits programs such as retirement plans, medical insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and others. Process benefits plans enrollment, termination, and changes in the HRIS system. Maintain and manage accurate records of employee benefits. Respond to benefits inquiries from managers and employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes, and other general inquiries. Assist with the benefits claim process. Coordinate with insurance providers to resolve any issues regarding eligibility and benefits coverage. Conduct benefits orientations and explain benefits enrollment. Ensure benefits changes are entered appropriately in the benefits database for payroll deduction. Assist with the annual review and comparison of benefits programs. Use Microsoft Excel for data management and tracking. Requirements Must possess a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Prior experience in benefits administration or a similar role is highly desirable. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required. Knowledge of benefits and compensation packages, as well as federal and state regulations regarding benefits. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary. Must have strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Experience with HRIS and benefits databases. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and the general public. Must be able to maintain confidentiality and act with discretion. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must possess excellent attention to detail. Ability to handle stressful situations and deadline pressures well. Should be able to plan and manage projects. Must have a strong sense of ethics and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately. Knowledge of labor laws and regulations related to benefits administration. Ability to develop strong relationships with various stakeholders, including employees and benefits providers. Must have a strong understanding of HR best practices and current regulations. Should have a customer-focused attitude, with high level of professionalism and discretion. Familiarity with various types of insurances, such as health, dental, and vision is advantageous. Demonstrated ability to work well in a fast-paced, challenging environment. Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach are essential. Ability to work flexible hours as required. Comfortable working with people at all organizational levels.
