The Department of Systems Biology at Columbia University is seeking an Associate Research Scientist who has strong scientific and postdoctoral experience. The incumbent will help to establish and lead a new core facility that will provide state-of-the-art CRISPR screening and new single-cell, spatial profiling technologies to Columbia laboratories. The new core will reside in the Sulzberger Columbia Genome Center.Responsibilities include:- Work collaboratively with both experimental and computational researchers in the Center and have access to its capital equipment resources.- Recruit, train, and manage new research staff who will perform CRISPR screening, single-cell sequencing, and spatial profiling experiments.- Provide technical consulting to core users to assist them with experimental design and analysis.- Responsible for maintaining the core's license, contributing to efforts to raise external funding, and identifying both internal and external users.Requires a Ph.D.Columbia University is an Equal Opportunity Employer / Disability / VeteranPay Transparency DisclosureThe salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training.
